No new hardware recognized, icon on computer or TV image
 

I have installed all drivers successfully but never saw new hardware recognized or an icon in the bottom right of the screen. The extended desktop never appeared on my television. I am not sure what the next step is. I have checked that the DirectLink program is installed correctly and is currently running.

I am working on a Lenovo x201 tablet with an imation A/V Extender on my TV (HDMI connection).

I do have the option to start a projector and can go into clone or extended mode. This mode is seen on my monitor but not on my television.

Sounds like the device is not detected on the USB bus. Please follow this article to debug this:

Note: for checking the connection, you will need to check that the Wireless USB drivers are correctly installed and operating.
