VirtualDj Pro 7.0.5(Build370) Digitus DA-70833

3 Attachment(s)
Guys help!
I use a Toshiba Laptop and a second monitor connected with my new Digitus DA-7083 (usb to vga) adaptor, which supports Direct X 3D computing accelerator as you can see in the product's page.
I installed the latest driver version DisplayLink_6.3M1.exe from this website. The 2nd monitor's been correctly recognised and l can use it as an extension of my main display-all things good so far.
When i run VirtualDj and try to put the adaptor as VideoOutput i get the attached error message.
I do my best to describe my specs with the attached screenshots as well.
I want to be able to use my new adaptor as video output for videoclips (by VirtualDj)...
Any thoughts please?

Are you using XP or Windows 7? I can't tell from the screenshots. The answer will depend on the OS you are running.

Ahhhh this is something i was curious about...
I run WinXpPro Sp3...but in this laptop i've never tried win7...
Would that be a possible reason for not co-operating with vdj ? :S
I hope u will not reply... "you may have to test it yourself" :D

On Windows 7, we should support the same hardware acceleration as the primary graphics card.

However on Windows XP, we only support DirectDraw, no Dx3D support etc. We report that we do not support hardware acceleration to the OS, and applications should fall back to software rendering. However it is possible that this app is just looking at the HW capability of the primary screen and assuming that all screens support hardware acceleration, which is not the case.

In other words, i need to test it on win7 ?

Or you might be able to lower the hardware acceleration level of your primary graphics card to force the app to fall back to software rendering...

yes...but the main use (videoclips 720p) should aquire full acceleration i'm afraid... :-(
