Win 7 64-bit Kensington M01063 stopped working
Initially, I was able to create a third display on my Acer S232HL using a Kensington M01063 Universal Multi-Display Adapter and HDMI. It should be noted that this configuration was never 100% reliable. Sometimes, I had to unplug the USB adapter and plug it back in to get things working properly.
Recently, the third display stopped working completely. Sometimes I get vertical lines, but not always. I no longer get a proper display. Using the tips in these forums, I have collected the following information about my configuration:
Any ideas? |
If you were getting vertical lines, then it sounds like the video output was dying. It's possible it has now given up completely.
Does the OS still think there is a screen extending you can drag Windows to? If so, then I think the problem is hardware, rather than a driver issue. Wim |
Yes, the OS still thinks there is a screen. I can actually drag windows there (and lose them if I drop them).
When I move the mouse in that screen, the vertical lines change colors. Is your recommendation to contact Kensington about a faulty converter? |
