2 entries in Device Manager
I am wondering if it's a problem that I have 2 entries in Device Manager under USB Display Adapters. One is DisplayLink, the other is Targus, the maker of my hub. Does this indicate conflicting drivers? I just updated to the DisplayLink 7.1 M1 drivers, but I believe I had 2 entries before.
I don't see 2 entries in the screenshots around this forum and the Support site, that's why I ask. http://i.imgur.com/CvTFibh.png |
I'm sure that I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the displaylink driver only manages that one part of the docking station - the part that handles video. The USB ports and anything else on the docking station has nothing to do with displaylink. I'm sure that's why it registers 2 devices.
FWIW, I have the same thing going on, here. |
No - this is expected behaviour. There are 2 USB endpoints, one for video data and one for management.
