downgrade firmware

Is it possible to downgrade the firmware of HP 3005 or similar devices.
The provisioning of each new version is quiet difficult and expansive.

Unfortunately some of our Devices received already latest firmware from Test-Workstation.

Now no Version 6.x Client is able to connect to these USB Dock anymore.

The firmware for our chip is upgraded/downgraded automatically by our host software to match the version of software installed. It's not possible to prevent this firmware change happening when new host software is used.
