ATI Crossfire - ETA on FIX?
 

Ok I have heard there are issues with ATI Crossfire, so I am wonder when is a fix coming or is a fix even being worked on?

What are the issues? Do the issues only affect the display link monitors or all?

If display link monitors are disconnected, does that fix the issue?

I just got a Alienware M18x R2 for work and need 4 monitors hooked up and then after work I use it for gaming (Laptop Monitor Only).

Will I have issues if I use 2 Displaylink devices with the Laptop?

Windows 8 / Dual ATI 7970M (Crossfire Enabled)

Hi

We state we don't support Crossfire. More correctly, we do not test all the various Crossfire combinations with our driver.

We have to focus our testing on the most popular platform and GPU combinations, otherwise we would never get releases out for the amount of testing needed.

So the answer is it may work, but the official answer is that it is unsupported on Crossfire.
