SIIG USB to VGA DisplayLink - Problems with Web Browsers. Disable GPU Acceleration.
 

I am not sure why, but my VGA-to-USB DisplayLink adapters gave me a problem on my brand new, nice work computer, but not my old and archaic home computer: web browsing was completely impossible on the extra monitor that connected via the DisplayLink.

Luckily I stumbled upon the last post in a particular thread here.

Please follow these instructions to relieve this problem for Firefox and Internet Explorer.
