Lenovo USB 3.0 dock - startup & connection sequence recommendations?
 

In an effort to solve my problems - i'm confounded by the unpredictable nature of the dock working & not working (detailed here: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62699 )

I had always put my 2013 X1 carbon in hibernate mode or would shutdown completely. When i boot up i would get to the login screen and plug in to the 2.0 port. I always left the USB 3.0 dock on. That no longer works.

Has anyone had problems that were eliminated when they starting following the same precise ritual to get it working between laptop & hub startup as well as USB port connection?
