Problem with Windows 8.1 after May 14 2014
My DisplayLink and Arkview USB 2.0 display adapter were working fine until the Windows updates on May 14 2014.
It stopped working after the reboot. I uninstalled the 7.2 software, unplugged the adapter, rebooted, installed the 7.6 DisplayLink software, rebooted, plugged in the adapter and still have no display or power light on the DisplayLink adapter. The Displaylink Manager, UI Sys-Tray and UserAgent applications appear as running processes in Task Manager. I tried a different mini-USB cable and it will light the power light but the display still does not work. The original cable will cause the adapter light to blink when I plug it in but the light will not stay on. Any suggestions? |
I've a similar problem, the last windows updates broke my dynadock drivers!

I am trying to get my Dell D3000 Docking Station to work. It was working with Windows 8.1 up until about a week ago. I suspect there was a Windows update that screwed something up. I spent all day last Friday on the phone with Dell. $89 dollars later the tech was able to confirm that the device was functioning correctly. I reverted back to Windows 8 and the D3000 device worked fine. After two attempts to upgrade to 8.1 I am now back to Windows 8 and hoping Display Link finds a solution.

Me too!
http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62998 After some time, my monitor will become unstable and flashing on and off... and finally off... Then if i re-plug it immediately, it will be on but will go off in 2 second. Even it works sometimes, I see the monitor is flickering from time to time... Just have no idea what's wrong with it! |
Problem with Windows 8.1 after May 14 2014 - resolved
I just tried it again, and the display is now working with the original cable, even though the light on my Arkview USB 2.0 adapter is not on.

Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in replying. If you still have issues after installing the Windows updates can you try these steps: 1. Disconnect your dock / adapter / monitor 2. Uninstall DisplayLink Software 3. Run the cleaner tool from here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297 4. Re-install DisplayLink Software 5. Reconnect your dock / adapter / monitor If that doesn't help please attach the logs from this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below. From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool. Thanks, James |
