Dell 3.0 docking station

Hello,
can my dell 3.0 docking station be used on a dell desktop Dimension 8150 ?

i have installed the drivers and software but can't seem to get it to work through USB. Running windows 7.

I think this is an old desktop machine and probably does not meet the minimum specs for DisplayLink software. Most notably, it would need a WDDM compatible graphics card:
