Can’t get sound from Asus Displaylink
 

Hi, I have windows 8.1 on my asus ultrabook ux31a.
Suddenly I have no sound when I attach the usb (DisplayLink) to my laptop.

My "USB Multimedia Audio Device" seems ok and playing, but no sound is coming out.

I tried even formatting my pc, but still no sound is coming out of my laptop.
I'm almost 100% sure that it is not the hardware itself that is damaged.

Here is the System Compatibility check and the zip file:
Pass: Basic mode support
Pass: Device attached
Pass: Device started correctly
Pass: Graphics driver date
Pass: WEI is above recommended 3
Pass: No Other USB graphics software installed

An Update, I just resolved it from other thread by doing power cycle:

- Unplug dock from notebook
- Unplug dock from mains
- Reconnect dock to mains
- Reconnect dock to notebook
