Does not work after reboot

I have just installed Digitech's USB2.0 to DVI converter, downloaded the latest software from the web site, upgraded my USB 3.0 drivers as recommended during installation and it all worked just fine. I rebooted and now it does not work, no display, no led. I looked at the knowledge base but all I could find was about a failure where the PID was 8086 mine isn't its 03C1 which agrees with the first line in the dialog. Nevertheless I unplugged everything and reconnected - still the same result.

I'm running Windows 7 x64

Does anybody have any ideas
