Resolution problem in OS X 10.10.1
Hi all,
Equipment: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) Model Identifier 9,2 StarTech Adapter: USB32DVIPRO (USB 3.0 > DVI) I run one external monitor via my Mini Display / Thunderbolt port and a second monitor via the StarTech adapter. I've got the current drivers installed (v2.3) and while I do have the 2nd display 'up' and displaying output, I can't set the appropriate resolution (and the auto-detect obviously can't either). I've been using this adapter for sometime with my older MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) which only had USB 2.0 connectivity, and it did just fine with the display running at 1080p. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6kfxkvxr2w...37.15.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/pzwiladgc3...37.26.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ab2sspp77d...37.37.png?dl=0 |
Any ideas?

Hi,
There could be different reasons including a driver bug. Can you please collect the logs and send them to us? The log tool is at http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 You can attach the logs here or send them through http://www.displaylink.com/support/ask_question.php Thank you, Carlo |
Our Test Lead also points out a workaround: press option ('alt') while clicking on "Scaled" in the resolution selection to show a bigger list of resolutions.
We're still very interested in the logs though! Regards, Carlo |
