DisplayLink Core Software Issue
 

My previous HDMI converter, an Arkview USB 2.0 Display Adapter (using a Sony LCD as a second monitor) failed a while back; also running DisplayLink software. I recently purchased a new USB to HDMI converter. While installing the new software, I received a message that said, "The older version of Displaylink Core Software cannot be removed." I had removed the old software properly using the Windows (7) Control Panel - Programs option. The installation ceases at this point. I have attached the information gathered from the Displaylink Support Tool.

Can you please provide some assistance as to how I can get the new driver to install properly.

Can you:
1. Unplug your adapter
2. Download and run this tool:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297
3. Install the latest DisplayLink software: http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php
4. Reconnect your adapter
