DisplayLink softeware not working Windows 8.1
 

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I looked through the forums and was unable to find an answer.

I have a Kensington sd3500v USB 3.0 dock. When I install the displaylink software and connect the dock with dual monitors connected the displaylink software never starts or even appears in the system tray. I have tried the software on 3 different windows 8.1 laptops and here is what I have discovered. It only worked on 1 port on 1 of the 3 laptops and that just so happened to be the USB 2.0 port. It will not start the software or output the signal to the monitors with the USB 3.0 ports on any of the 3 computers. The USB ports on the dock works with all 3, its just an issue with the displaylink software/outputting the signal to the monitors.

Any ideas what I can do to resolve this issue?

This could be a problem with the dock. If it only works on USB 2, there could be a fault with the USB 3 connection on the dock, preventing it from enumerating on some PCs.
