DL-3500 on Win8 HP Probook 5310m is not working
 

I tried full cleaning and reinstalling, replugging, different usb ports and cetera.
Downloaded from the displaylink.com driver installs successfully, but tray icon is not visible and second monitor is blank. Plugging/unplugging of monitor changes nothing. Displaylink device is visible in Device Manager and Hardware Ids are ok, service is running.

Some magic and everything started to work. Thank you for this well packed with useful information support forum)
