Displaylink 7.8/9 and issue with HDMI audio
 

Hi,
I am using a HP 3005pr USB docking and Win 7.
After I updated the Displaylink software, first testing 7.9, then 7.8, my HDMI audio stopped working. If I connect through an Displayport-adapter, sound works.
Also, If I use 7.7, HDMI audio works.

Anyone got a culue on what's the issue?

IF I open the "Playback devices", I se the "USB audio"-device and I can see sound is "playing" on the device, but as said, no sound is comming.

The USB docking has both HDMI and Displayport, and sound works if I connect the HDMI cable with a Displayport adapter.

Can you check that the USB audio is set to be the default playback device?

Please see attached image showing USB audio set as the default playback device.
