Monitor flips when laptop lid is closed
 

Recently purchased the Display Link USB dock along with a Lenovo laptop (w AMD video card). When closing the lid, my Dell monitor flips the screen so that it is upside down. I have it connected via VGA cable, not HDMI, through the converter.

When monitor is connected directly to laptop and the lid is closed, no issues. I have installed the DisplayLink 7.9 drivers

Any ideas? I've updated the video card and the display driver for my monitor is already up to date.
