Cannot install DisplayLink Win 10 driver
 

Hi,

Suddenly this morning my external monitor was not displaying (mouse and keyboard worked though), so I tried to-reinstall the DisplayLink latest driver for Win 10 x64.

But unfortunately I cannot install the driver. Even if I run the cleaning tool 'DisplayLink Installation Cleaner' (as admin) and restarting I get the error message 'The installation of DisplayLink software ended prematurel'.

I also tried with the the previous Win 10 driver version. Same error!.

The usb docking station: Targus model ACP70EU

What could cause this and what to do to make my external screen work again!
