Xps 13, DA100, ethernet, mouse doesn't work
Hi,
I've installed the latest displaylink adapters and can connect the DA100 to my xps 13 no problem. As soon as I connect the Ethernet cable then the laptop becomes unusable with the mouse having a mind of it's own. Trying to move the mouse via the touchpad it goes very slow and is jerky. It also starts opening and closing windows ad hoc. As soon as I remove the ethernet cable, da100 still connected, the problem is resolved. Any ideas? Regards Jim |
Hello,
What kind of mouse are you using? Would it be a wireless 2.4 GHz mouse? Kind regards, Alban |
It was with the mousepad that was physically on the xps 13. However I was also trying to use a km714 wireless keyboard and mouse. Keyboard connected fine but couldn't get the mouse to connect. I will try again Monday with the laptop without the wireless mouse and keyboard. Can you not use a wireless mouse if using a DA100?

Hello,
This would have no link with the DA100 whatsoever. 2.4 GHz interferes with USB 3 traffic. Intel wrote a paper on this : http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...r-wifi-stop-wo I advise you try distancing the radio transceiver from USB3 links to see if this has an impact or if we need to dig deeper. Kind regards, Alban |
Tried it this morning and still the same. As soon as I plug the network cable in the mouse becomes unusable. This is with using the built in mousepad and nothin else connected to the laptop so no wireless mouse.
