Not detecting the monitor resolution?

I have a monitor 2560x1440 (VX3276-2K-mhd). With my Displaylink software (ubuntu) this resolution is unattainable. The maximum I get is either 2560x1080 or 1920x1440. I wonder, why am I not able to select this resolution?
