Screen flicker/re-install using SideTrak monitor
 

I am having a problem with the SideTrak external USB laptop monitor. I'm running Windows 8 on an HP Pavilion laptop. The flicker is occurring every 10-15 seconds and in the Device Manager - Monitors section it lists "Generic PnP Monitor" but with each "flicker" it goes away and then returns. It is as though the system is continually reinstalling the monitor.

This is a known condition as it is already listed in your knowledge base with correction steps and the last step is to run the diagnostic tool and place the results on the forum. For the record, I have confirmed all of the firmware/bios settings and tried all of the steps in the knowledge base article with no fix found.
