Suddenly Dell Dock D6000 - displayLink stop working
1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I have a Dell Dock Station D6000 for almost a year.
Suddenly stop working and my notebook doesn't recognize any device connected to de dock (Audio, HDMI monitor 1, DP monitor 2). I try reinstalling drivers, upgrading firmware, using USB-C, USB-B, and another notebook with no luck. in device Manager, I' m not seeing any DisplayLink under USB. I just got 3 new Generic USB ports when I plug de dock. the lights turn white when I plug the dock to my notebook |
Hello gteibo,
Thank you for reaching out to us! Indeed the logfiles do not show D6000 connected to your PC. Do you know if something specific happened around the time when the dock has stopped working? Driver change, hardware change, other installations? And let me make sure of two things: Did you connect the faulty D6000 to a different PC and it did not get recognized there either? You've tried different ports/cables but the result was the same, is that correct? Thank you, Katarzyna |

1. I try D6000 in another notebook with the same result, I'm just able to use de USB functionality of D6000 2. I'm not able to try with another cable between notebook and D6000 because it is an internal cable. But I already tried in other USB ports with no luck 3. Another thing, when I use the D6000 Firmware Updater, it recognizes the information of the FW: d6000 controller TI PD Controller PR Converter GL Hub 1 Gl Hub2 It seems like the DisplayLinks Chipset stop working, I have attached the last log |
Hi,
Gteibo, the logs are not showing any DisplayLink devices, there are no traces of them at all. I do believe the dock was connected to your PC when you were gathering the logfiles but can you confirm that for me? |
