external docking station issues on shut down/start up
Hi, this is probably a really newbee question, but I can't find the answer anywhere!
I have a surface pro, and an external docking system (wavlink) that uses display link. So this may not be a display link problem at all, but I'm starting here if that's ok, and hoping that someone can help me, or point me in the right direction if not! :) When I shut down, and then start up again, the USB connector driver, or the generic billboard device is not working. Even if eject the usb connections first. So, I go through a process of disabling and re-enabling the driver, restarting the dock, restarting the computer, in various combinations till eventually it all seems to work -tah dah! But its a pain in the ! What order should I be shutting down/starting up everything in order for the USB connections not to go do-lally, or is there something else I'm missing here!? Thank in advance (fingers crossed someone can help) Tiff :) |
