Lag for m2 Macbook with one or two 4k displays

Hi,

I am experiencing a lot of lag when using a hub that uses display link. I have a Macbook m2 with 32gb of ram.

I asked the support of the hub provider and they send me to this forum. The problems are already happening from startup. I experience extreme lag with only one 4k 27inch display from logitech. I want to connect two displays but when I do that it is unusable. Any idea how this is possible and what I can do?

I'm also having this issue on my M2 Air.
It's highly frustrating as this has started recently, seemingly after an OS update.
It was not an issue a few months back.

It's not a memory issue as this was working without a problem a while back.
I have 2 x LG Ultragear and only using 1080p on them.

It seems this is fixed or minimized at least after MacOS 14.3.1 update

Sadly everything is messed up now after the latest update Sonoma 14.3.1

Macbook m2 max
2 LG 4K Display
Elgato Teleprompter (NOT WORKING anymore as a teleprompter, just a display).

Does anyone else has this enlarged issues with the displayLink on 14.3.1 now?

I am on 14.0 and sometimes have these lags on the Macbook Air M2. Its not perfect, but works, it would be a pity if it fails completely after an OS update.

Is there any way to fix the error after updating MacOS 14.3.1 or is it still the same.
