Mac not recognizing DisplayLink device

I recently purchased a second monitor to increase productivity while at home. I will list all devices and specs below following the post.

Problem: I have installed the most current DisplayLink driver and followed all directions. I am running into an issue where the computer is not recognizing that a display is plugged in through the doc. It works if plugged in natively to the Mac. I do not have an option to allow new accessories to connect in my privacy & security settings. Please help.

Devices:
MacBook: Air 2020 M1
OS: Sonoma 14.5
Docking station: Tobenoone UDS009
DisplayLink driver: DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity 1.10.2

According to the information provided by the manufacturer of your docking station --> https://tobenone.com/products/uds009...acbook-pro-air the product you are using does NOT have DisplayLink technology inside of it.

DisplayLink technology is a combination of the DisplayLink software on the host and a device with DisplayLink hardware inside of it.

If your device does not have DisplayLink hardware inside of it, then the DisplayLink software will not help you.

I would suggest contacting the manufacturer of the docking station for assistance.

AOC not responding to Macbook Air

Hello,

I have the same issue.

Devices:
MacBook: Air 2020 M1
OS: Sonoma 14.5
DisplayLink driver: DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity 1.10.2

Conencted to the following AOC Display:
AOC USB Monitor
LCD Monitor LED backlight
Model Number: E1659FWU
Product Number: 156lm00005

This worked for about a week. Came back this morning and no display. Rebooted several times but no luck. Disconnected and re-connected adapter with same issue. Some times the monitor comes on for a second by nothing consistent.

I go into the Settings -> Displays -> hit the option key and select detect displays but no luck.

You can check if your docking station or adapter is recognized by going to Apple menu > About This Mac > System Report. Expand Thunderbolt / USB under Hardware. If it's not listed, this might indicate a hardware issue with the dock or adapter itself.

You can also test if the issue is with your Mac or the docking station/adapter itself by connecting it to another computer. If the monitor works on another computer, the problem likely lies with your Mac's software or configuration. If it doesn't work on another computer either, the docking station or adapter itself might be faulty.
