Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon - Artifacts

Hi everyone!
I'm experiencing a weird issue with a Lenovo ThinkPad P14s G5 (Intel Arc + Nvidia) running Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon and connected to a Display link USB-C / Thunderbolt docking station: when working on the external monitors connected to the dock I often see small horizontal artifacts which suddenly disappear (will try to make a video at some stage), so the issue is purely aesthetical.

This happens only when I'm using the intel GPU as the primary device, while it works perfectly when I switch to the Nvidia card.

I would rather use the Intel card since it'll be better when running on battery and I don't have to remember to switch each time.

I'm using the latest version of the DisplayLink driver available in the synaptics repository (6.1).

Is this a known issue?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Seems I am experiencing the same with a Thinkpad T14, Intel Arc GPU + DisplayLink USB-C/Thunderbolt docking station. Attached the output of a DLSupportTool.sh run and 4 photos of the artifacts.

Regards

Thanks @sissiphos for the pointer.
Well, yes I've been reading a lot before posting here... I was just looking in the wrong place!

I will try downgrading EVDI and check if that fixes.
