New driver for DL-165 @Windows11 24H2 ?

Hello community!

Will there be a new driver for DL-165 chipset, product:
https://plugable.com/products/uga-165
operated at Windows 11?

After upgrading to version 24H2, a bug has been encountered!
I operate 6 external DL-165 units (1080p Full HD) connected via USB2.0 to PC.
During the PC wake-up phase, a brief disconnection of external graphics units occurs, causing an inconvenient repositioning of open applications.

Thanks!

If you have not done so already, I would suggest contacting Plugable directly for assistance --> https://plugable.com/pages/support

Hello rboerner!

To be precise, it's not exactly a Plugable device! My Adapters are only based on DL-165 chipset family! True name of my Adapter is: AXAGO ADG-HD
https://www.alza.cz/axago-adg-hd-d272395.htm
Unfortunately, this product is obsolete and no longer in production.

The crucial question is whether DisplayLink provides support for such an old chipset or if it has become obsolete as well. There might be also problem in onboard Intel graphic card?!
I use these external adapters exclusively for monitoring financial market charts, as they offer a cost-effective and reliable solution.

I am currently in communication with Intel's customer support team and have created a short video to demonstrate my issue. If you're interested:

Thank you.

Thank you.

Understood that you are NOT using a Plugable brand device. Please note that since the device is not made by Plugable, that Plugable will be unable to assist you.

Also note, the latest version of the DisplayLink driver supports devices based on the DL-165 chipset. This is detailed in the release notes for the latest version here --> https://www.synaptics.com/sites/defa...se%20Notes.txt

As to the source of the issue demonstrated in your video, I am afraid I cannot be sure of the cause. The DisplayLink-driven displays appear to be working properly when the host computer wakes from sleep, however the application windows do not 'remember' their previous location.

Speaking in general, the DisplayLink devices have no control over application window placement or location, that is controlled completely by the host operating system. That the behavior changed after a Windows update suggests a different component may be the cause, however I cannot be sure which one.

Therefore, from DisplayLink's perspective this is closed.
Excellent, thank you for the clear response!

The issue has been resolved. All problems were caused by the main 4K monitor I had to change the DisplayPort connector to HDMI and that the issue. Microsoft mentions this problem in help article, as shown in the picture below.

Same problem here

Since I install 24H2 (I fresh install system 3 times) i'm mad with the same problem. It is frustrating  and suppose support will solve the problem soon.

At least some month ago personal attention was 1st class.

In the mean time, you may find on the web DektopOk.exe
Small exe, portable, to save & recover positions.

My impression is that the problem may come from windows hello, starting now quicker than the screen...

Correction

After cleaning previous driver in device manager and installing the new ones (11.6) everything working fine.
