Why can't I stream video on my displays that use display link?

This has been covered in the forum before. The limitation is internal to macOS, as DisplayLink describes here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...y-on-mac-while

With that said, some have reported that using the Google Chrome browser or Mozilla Firefox browser with the 'Hardware Acceleration' option disabled within their respective 'Settings' can sometimes produce a different result.

I am having this same issue with Windows 11 on a Dynabook X40 L-M using a Thunderbolt 4 docking station. Disabling Hardware Acceleration did not work for me.

DisplayLink does not support HDCP (possibly why this issue occurs?)
 

After doing some research on this issue, here's what I've determined (and I'm sure others have as well):

• DisplayLink's reliability on macOS screen recording feature is conflicting with the DRM rights encoded into protected content on Netflix and Prime.
• Disabling hardware acceleration (in my experience) has yielded blurry and pixelated images on my UHD 4K monitors.
• Most streaming platforms require HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection), which DisplayLink currently doesn't support

Has anyone attempted to use Opera or UTM as a potential workaround ?
