Macbook Air M3 with Satechi slim pro hub doesn't recognize second monitor
 

Hi,

I'm having trouble with getting the second external monitor going. My setup is a MacBook Air M3 with Satechi hub.

Details:

Satechi

Two external Acer monitors:

The only difference that my version has two HDMI ports and 1 VGA, no displayports

One is connected with a HDMI cable in the only HDMI port available on the Satechi.
One is connected with a HDMI cable with HDMI to usb C adapter in de USB C port next to the HDMI port.

Seperately from eachother they both work fine as an external monitor but when I plugin the second only the first gets signal. So it's not about the adapter or cable I guess.

In the system settings I only see one external monitor.

The external keyboard and mouse work fine.

I installed DiplayLink but no solution.

Any ideas?

I've just taken a look at the specs of the hub on the Satchi website. It doesn't list anywhere that the hub is DisplayLink capable. Which is probably the reason as to why it won't support 2 monitors.

You'll need to look into an alternative solution, one that specifically supports DisplayLink.
