Macbook Air M3 not recognizing dual monitors
I have a brand new Macbook Air M3. I am using the Wavlink model WL-UG7602HC and am trying to connect 2 additional monitors to my laptop.
I've downloaded the necessary software driver and allowed screen recording permissions. As soon as plug in the wavlink to my mac and attach the HDMI cables, an image pops up on each monitor that has a blue screen with the words Universal Graphics Adapter. 3 seconds later the screen goes black and I get no signal. This has been so frustrating and Im out of ideas because according to all the videos and research I've watched - I have done everything correctly. I would love and appreciate any insight as to what Im doing wrong. Thank you all in advance! Joseph |
Issue fixed
For anyone interested, I fixed the issue.
There was an additional driver that I needed to download called SiliconMotion. Once I downloaded that the 2 additional monitors worked immediately. https://www.siliconmotion.com/downloads/index.html |
Hi joeyj,
You are absolutely right, your adapter only started working after installing the Silicon Motion driver as it is not based on DisplayLink technology so installing DisplayLink Manager is not applicable here. |
