Dual monitors working intermittently on Apple Air M3
Running an Apple Air M3 with DisplayLInk Model UD-6950H
LGUltraGear Monitors - Model: 27GQ40W - one HDMI, one DisplayPort (have used 2 of each as well). Hooked to Mac with USB-C Monitors will work fine, but when Mac goes to sleep sometimes only one comes back, sometimes neither. Unplugging the USB-C and plugging it back in sometimes fixes the issue, but not all the time. Suggestions? |
Hi Bombersuck,
My guess is that this problem occurs regardless of which USB-C port on your mackuy the docking station is connected to. Have you tried using a different cable connecting the docking station to your MacBook? Are the monitors visible in DisplayLink Manager when they don't come back up after waking up? |
Hi Dariusz,
Correct. Doesn't matter which port. I haven't tried a different cable yet, but the cable works fine on other DisplayLink setups in our office. The monitors are not visible in DisplayLink when they don't come back up. Everything has been working fine today. I'm not sure why these intermittent issues are happening. |
Did this error just start?
I just updated to Sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70) and then my main SamSung monitor quit working. Both devices are plugged into the same hub. Have to remove DisplayLink in order to use my main monitor rendering the Elgato Teleprompter unusable.

Hi all,
In both cases, the problem appears to be physical instability of the connection, which may be caused by a loose cable, poor quality or damaged cable or electrical problems. Please contact our support directly and once you have sent in your logs we will be able to take a closer look at your problem and find a suitable solution. |
