Dell D6000 USD ports are very slow
Hello,
I have an issue with USB ports in my Dell D6000 connected to MacBook M1. They do work, but copy speed is very very low. Does anybody know how to fix it? Thanks! |
Hello schekotka,
Thank you for contactig us. Firstly, please check if your device is connected with speed 5Gb/s. You can check it by following this steps: System Settings - General - About - Scroll down to System Report... . Also, please confirm that the device you connect to the docking station is USB 3 capable. |

Hello Marta,
I have D6000 both in USB 3.1 Bus and USB 2.1 Hub (please see attached screenshot). First has up to 5 Gb/s, second - up to 12 Mb/s. If USB 2.1 is in use, how to switch to USD 3.1? Thank you! |
Thank you for your response.
Could you share more information about the type of device that you have connected to dock? Have you tried to plug it directly to your laptop? |
Devices are the USB-A flash drives or external hdd.
Can't connect them directly to MacBook because it has only USB-C plugs. |
Hello schekotka,
From your screenshot, it seems like everything works as it should. The reason it works at this speed might be caused by the type of device that you have plugged and it's capacity. Please try to plug it in the different port (on the front and back of the docking station). You can also try to check it with another flash drive. |
