Ubuntu 24.04 no display
 

I have installed the latest version 6.1.0-17 via the run file and via deb install neither work, when the device is plugged in the screen flashes (laptop not external screen) but no output on external screen

I have remove and reinstalled the driver several times and even tried upgrading ubuntu to 24.10 to which i got an output on the screen once

I am running X11 not wayland but have tried both versions

I installed windows on the same laptop and the adapter worked with no issues so it must be an ubuntu issues, i dont want to wipe my drive with an earlier version of ubuntu as this will complicate my setup

I have tried most forums on the web to resolve this issue but everything i try doesnt help

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated ive been tearing my hair out for 2 weeks now

i have attached all logs if anyone can spot an issue
