UGREEN CM478 not recognized on Windows 11 – DisplayLink driver installed, no output
Hi,
I'm having trouble with a UGREEN CM478 USB-C to HDMI adapter that uses DisplayLink technology. The device works perfectly on another laptop running Ubuntu, so it's not a hardware defect. On my Windows 11 machine, I’ve tried the following: Installed the latest DisplayLink driver from displaylink.com Ran the DisplayLink Cleaner Tool and reinstalled the driver as Administrator Disabled Fast Startup in Windows Verified Windows is not in S Mode Updated Intel and NVIDIA GPU drivers Tried creating a new user account Used different USB-C ports However, the adapter is not recognized at all: It doesn't show up in Device Manager The DisplayLinkManager service is missing in services.msc The DisplayLink Support Tool reports: Driver is not installed. No external monitor is detected in Windows display settings Logs collected via DisplayLink Support Tool are available, if needed. Could this be a known issue with this adapter and Windows 11? Or is there any additional step required to activate the DisplayLink driver? Thank you in advance for your help. |
