Help me out with something I'm really confused on.
I have a Dell D6000 dock; this is DisplayLink compatible. I bought it for my work machine which is a Mac.
Using it with my Windows laptop; it displays both external monitors fine. I have not installed any DisplayLink drivers. geometry dash lite
Do I need to? From what I understand, DisplayLink is for virtual displays so it will be useful with the new Macs that don't support more than 1 external display.
Am I using a subpar product and should get a non-DisplayLink product? Or The dock is acting as a normal dock when my laptop can already support 2 external displays? I have a thunderbolt port.

For your reference, DisplayLink technology is a combination of hardware and software.

If you connect a DisplayLink-based docking station such as the Dell D6000 to a Windows computer without having installed the required software beforehand, then the Windows Update process will download and install the required software automatically.

Please note, the software version provided by Windows Update may not be the latest version released by DisplayLink directly. The latest Windows version available from DisplayLink directly is available here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...nloads/windows

Apple Mac systems do not have an equivalent to the Windows Update process, which means in order to use a DisplayLink docking station with a Mac you must manually install the DisplayLink Manager Application. The latest version of DisplayLink Manager is available to download from here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ownloads/macos
