Unable to select correct resolution when using HP Dock
Hi all,
I'm using an HP USB-C dock with DisplayLink on an M4 MacBook Pro with DisplayLink Manager 13.0.0 (build 33) which I think is the latest, and a Dell U3011 monitor connected by HDMI to DVI-D cable. When I connect my monitor direct to the HDMI port on the laptop, I can select the full resolution and it works: https://i.ibb.co/whwPJbfy/Screenshot...t-10-52-59.png https://i.ibb.co/8L21dmLD/IMG-6672.jpg However when I connect the same HDMI plug into the HP dock, I can't choose that resolution, only a lower one: https://i.ibb.co/prjgqZ7g/Screenshot...t-10-53-35.png https://i.ibb.co/8L21dmLD/IMG-6672.jpg This is despite having enabled experimental HiDPI modes in DisplayLink Manager. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks, Chris. |
According to page 5 of the manual for your Dell display --> https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics/esuprt_display/dell-u3011_user's%20guide_en-us.pdf the display has a dual-link DVI video input.
According to this DisplayLink knowledge base article (look all the way at the bottom) --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...lution-support dual-link DVI displays are not supported by DisplayLink. |
