Display Link Suddenly Stopped Working
Hello,
I have two USB devices - one is USB to HDMI CADYCE and the Other is USB C to HDMI CADYCE. Earlier both of these devices used to work well and I could use a second monitor on my Mac. However, since last week I am unable to do so. I have already tried removing the software and reinstalling using the removal tool provided. However, no joy yet. Please suggest. |
Support Tool Logs
For some reason I am unable to attach the logs. So the link to the logs is here.

Mine stopped too
Since the overnight update of my MacBook to V. 26.3.1, Display Link stopped working.

Hi ujwalm,
From the logs, I can see that one DisplayLink device was connected earlier, but it stopped appearing on Friday afternoon (2026‑03‑06). It’s also not detected by macOS anymore, as it doesn’t show up in the USB device list. When you collected the logs, was the device connected via USB cable and powered on? Regards, Szymon |

Could you elaborate more about your setup, (MacBoo, DisplayLink product and monitors)? Are you on DisplayLink Manager 15.1? Regards, Szymon |

Yes, this is CADYCE USB to HDMI. I also got a new USB C to HDMI. Some observations: 1. System Report shows USB device connected as "Generic Billboard Device". 2. Privacy has Screen Recording Allowed. 3. Privacy has "Always Allow" set for accessories. |
I see Generic Billboard Device in the USB devices, but this is not a DisplayLink device. You can tell this by USB Vendor Id. All DisplayLink devices have id 0x17E9.

Thanks for your reply. Whenever I connect CADYCE the Generic Billboard Device is shown. When I remove it it is not shown in the USB. Please see this video..
Also, both of these used to work earlier using DisplayLink. Quote:

This confirms CADYCE adapter is not a DisplayLink device. I believe it is a USB Alt-mode adapter. For further help wit this particular device I recommend contacting support of the product manufacturer.
Do you have any other device? Regards, Szymon |
