The second monitor is no longer recognized
I connected the DELL D6000 docking station with two monitors to my Mac, but suddenly the second monitor is no longer recognized.
I can see it in Display Link Manager, but not in the Mac settings. I’ve tried restarting the system, updating Display Link Manager, and using new cables, but nothing works. Sometimes (not always), the bottom monitor displays the screen as shown in the photos (sometimes in low resolution, other times in high resolution), but it isn’t recognized by the Mac, so I can’t work on that monitor (change the resolution, adjust the monitor layout, etc.). Any suggestions? MacBook Air M4 with Tahoe. I didn’t update to a new version of macOS before the problem occurred. https://i.ibb.co/JwQNd1mg/61727435-B...A9-1-105-c.jpg https://i.ibb.co/gL3Q43xN/AAA708-F2-...E4-1-105-c.jpg (It works perfectly on Windows) https://i.ibb.co/GQP0WfzH/D0656-F14-...69-1-105-c.jpg |
Hi
I'm sorry about your experience. Would you be able to raise your case following this article? https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink Additionally, could you please perform the following test? When the problem is active, disconnect monitor from the dock but keep the dock connected to the Mac. Reconnect the monitor back to the dock. Let me know if it makes any difference. This information can potentially direct our investigation. Thanks, Szymon |

It was working fine last night. What could have happened? My girlfriend's Mac running macOS 18 is recognized. |
Thanks for the report - I confirm it is visible in the system and a support engineer will pick it up.
> What could have happened? Some monitors can be very timing sensitive and such initialization inconsistency is one of the possible results. Regards Szymon |
