Solution
As mentioned in the "failing to wake from sleep" thread, I have found a solution to the driver crash problem. It is not pretty, and clearly a hack, but it works and will allow you to use the monitor...

The solution I posted above has now worked for 2 days. Previously it was crashing 3 times a day -- so I'm starting to feel good about this. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Possible solution
Possible solution -- seemed to have worked today.
Use sleepwatcher. Add the -S and -W options to /Library/LaunchDaemons/de.bernhard-baehr.sleepwatcher.plist to run display sleep and wakeup...

Waking from sleep
There is an option in the Screen Saver preferences -- "Main screen only" -- I'm going to try that and see if that solves it also.
