Got it working.. DVI side not jammed in enough

The DisplayLink adapter needed to have the DVI side jammed in a little harder. When I did a 3rd device driver popped up, and light came on, and ... magical.. it worked.

PS: Absoultely.. the ATI or INTEL driver appears in the display adapters tree.

PPS: Right now, to utilize dual montior support again, I'm back to MIXED graphics mode,...

Setup:

Lenovo T500 with "middle" (Advanced) docking station.

Docking station has both DVI and VGA outputs.

I bought the Displaylink adapter because the standard VGA
output is fuzzy. Hoping...
