After much clicking around, I solved my own...

After much clicking around, I solved my own problem. Turns out the display just wasn't enabled automatically. It was recognized, but I had to tell the display properties to extend to that display... ...

I recently changed systems from an HP Elitebook G1 (4th Gen Intel Core) to an Elitebook G3 (6th Gen Intel Core). Both systems use the same Docking station, so my physical set up has not changed.
