If you are still having problems with Focal Fossa, try this.

Most compatibility issues between displaylink, evdi and kernel vers. > 5.8 have been solved by the evdi branch 1.7.x

I have the same issue, but only after 5 minutes of playing a video or other demanding graphic task.
