Java (jre8) crash with dedicated display adapter

I have the same problem

In my case the java 8 app threw a null pointer exception on the following line.

GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment().getDefaultScreenDevice().getDefaultConfiguration().getBounds();
