No; it appears to be a problem with how the .kext was built for release. That is, this error appears to be a problem with the build, and a number of other people are experiencing the same problem.

The solution doesn't work for me since rebooting into a 32-bit kernel is not an option right now. But thanks for the pointer. :-)

Also seeing the same problem.
