Here are the logs, both verbose before and after plugin and error (in this case, the screen is blank as it was already set to standard rotation before plugin).

The screen works again if rotation...

This is indeed an issue in Parallels 7 as well, and came as a horrible surprise after my fiasco with rotation in OS X (http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1901).
