For me, its slow -- you definitely can display any video on that screen. It also won't go to sleep on its own, you have to force it to sleep with OPTION, COMMAND, EJECT. Sometimes when it comes out...

you sure?
You sure you started up in 64-bit mode? Reboot and hold down the "6" & "4" keys. See if your display still works.
