I see from looking closer at the manual that 4K output is only supported via the Display Port.
Too bad the shorter version of the specs I read before purchasing it only...

I found the new version of the driver is available today.
I installed it and it (on 16.04 Ubuntu Gnome) and it seems to work! Thanks!
