Java apps seem to work OK with the DL displays...

Java apps seem to work OK with the DL displays connected if I keep the MBP lid open.

[2018 MBP 15, 10.14.2, DL 5.0.1, 2 x Dell 2417 via USB- C]

Since upgrading to 10.14.2 and DL 5.0.1 I have been experiencing a strange intermittent problem.

I normally run with the MBP lid...
