Can we have an update on when DisplayLink expects graphics acceleration to be complete?

I've been checking back for almost a year now since I purchased my MacBook Pro and my DisplayLink adapter....

I've uninstalled my driver and I have a wasted display sitting on my desk. It's really just unusable with no graphics acceleration.

Are there any alternative products that have more reliable drivers with acceleration support? I don't care if the price is 5x as much at this point. I'm tired of dealing with the bad/slow to update...
